New Era: Year 1/ #1

The beautiful medieval city of Volterra, in Tuscany. Shot on the 19th of August 2012.
(You may know it to be the place where Twilight: New Moon was shot - think Volturi vampires)

At the Volterra 1398 A.D  Medieval Festival

Locals take part in the performances, re-enacting key historical events by
playing noblemen and  women, merchants, and other Middle Age figures.

In the sweltering 35 degrees weather the locals stay dedicated to these celebrations, clad in medieval garments.

Sunset over Volterra. Such a beautiful city.

Re-boot

There is unlikely to be anyone reading this, but if you are - hi! I'm Rachel and this was meant to be a diary filled with photographic memories that are important or just things I love. However, if you look at the date of my last post you may notice that perhaps not many good memories have been made; I haven't posted since 2011!

I have made many beautiful memories but I have never had a moment to sit down and share then with you. I want this to change.

I'm going to re-boot this blog with some beautiful images from the past two years like I should have before. Hopefully I will see you around a bit more!

I didnt do much today. I got up and had my routinely breakfast whilst watching Desperate Housewives at 11:15 on e4. Later I did some re-designing for The Fashion Edition, which is looking mighty fine.

When my madre got home I helped her out in the garden, filling up bird feeders and pulling out the mutant, Godzilla sized Pak Choi. I watched this dolphin tracking, scuba diving thing with Monty Hall on BBC 1, then cracked up laughing at Have I Got News For You.

Sleepy time.

My pre-retail therapy order arrived today, a quilted khaki coat with leather elbow patches and collar. I loves it! I've noticed that quilted coats are big for next season, autumn/winter, and that many shops are selling them.

Topshop is an example but there's are £65. I got mine off of Asos.com for £30 less. I cant wait to wear it in a few months!

Felt a bit down today so I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's and went shopping, as you do. Dude, when that woman said that shopping was an anti-depressant she sure was right! Heheh!

I got a dog tooth check blazer from H&M, and three books- Memoirs of a Geisha, The Devotion of Suspect X and When God was a Rabbit- out of my therapy.

Moleskin Journals: I love them. I went shopping today for books for our holiday to France in two weeks. Whilst in Waterstones, dad was looking at Moleskin journals and pens. He has a lot of Moleskin merchandise already; they're quality handmade products.

They have a range of "Passions" journals for you to fill in: including recipe journals, music, film, style, baby, travel and pets journals. My dad got a Recipe Journal for the family to write down our secret recipes in, I in turn bought the style journal to do inventory on my wardrobe, and I bought a gardening journal for my mum.

Its nice to write in such beautiful books, dont you think?
